Finally I am here, in Bhopal, with my family and my friends. Nearly everyone came to the station to meet me when I arrived on Friday 22. We fell in our arms of happiness, also of grieve. The few days I have been here have been well used. I have been to my “sister’s” grave, I have talked to different family members about the situation without “mama”, I have played with the children, I have seen the new house where my family will move soon. I realise it was very good that I came here.

As usual, I stay in a guestroom at Sambhavna clinic. I am very impressed by the work that is done here. I sat with Dr Kaiser and heard about the brain fever malaria patient he was treating. Sunday I was invited to visit the school of Oria basti, which is supported of Dominique LaPierre, the French author of “The city of Joy”. It was very nice to meet the children and their teachers and see the paintings they have done. I had not brought my violin, so I sung to the children and them to me.

Today I saw the Ambassador and Mrs Madhumita. He was very kind, listened to my story, looked at the photoes I brought. He also talked with pride about his country, about Gandhi etc. Finally, he said I could get the visa - but of course, I must not misuse it. So now I will leave Sweden at the best time of the year, and visit India at the worst time of the year. Hurray!
